My friends mean the world to me, I couldn’t live without them. They’re all amazing people even if they get annoying sometimes. They’re generally willing to listen if I need someone to talk to and I’m only to glad to return the favour. I hate to see any of my friends down and I never want to lose any of them, I’ve had bad experience with that, and I miss her.



Love makes the world go round.

Music is an obsession.

Music, along with my friends, gets me through. There have been days when without one particular song I don’t think I’d have been able to take it. I always relate things to the lyrics of a song, A Certain Romance – Arctic Monkeys, is a good example of a song that I totally relate to. There are some amazing people out there with amazing talent. The world would be so much less without music.

Animals are the world. I know I’ve already said that about friends and music, but I don’t care. So many things mean so much to me. To never hug a dog, play with a cat, ride a horse, stroke a chinchilla... I can’t imagine the world without them.

My name’s Lara, I’m 14, I was born on the 6th September 1992. My life is good, because I have friends, music and animals around me. I moved across the world, from Paddock Wood, a small town in Kent, England, to Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. I miss my friends a lot, but I know they’re still there whenever I need them. I'm making some cool new friends here, too. Paddock Wood is still home. I’m a vegetarian, there’s no need to kill animals for food. We don’t need to eat them. I have my opinions and I will state them. I’m me, get over it.

Outlook on life: Life is hard. It’s full of ups and downs. I’ll wake up one morning, happy as ever, by the end of the day all the little problems that exist in my life will have fallen down around me. I won’t know what to do, I’ll be confused and hurt. I’ll be desperate to talk to someone, tell them all the things that I’m keeping inside, but I can’t. I’ve made promises, I can’t tell. I’ll go on not knowing, pushing hard to get through each day, relating to songs that no one would ever want to relate to. My friends steer clear, they’re probably best off doing so. They’re often part of the problem, boy troubles, on the edge of anorexic, parents might get divorced... I worry about them. I care too much, I wish I could stop caring, I sometimes wish I could die. Chances are, a particular friend that generally seems to understand, has problems of his own at times like these. It just seems to work like that; our lives are somewhat in sync. Bad times aside, this past week I’ve been amazingly happy. He has too, although he said he’s still got a few problems. I don’t know what they are, and I don’t want to unless he wants to tell me. I’m glad he’s happier now, despite those few remaining problems. The problems that I was taking so hard for what seemed like a very long time all seem to have slipped away. I’m still worrying about one friend, but that’s all and it’s not bringing me down. The happy periods of life are what you’ve got to live for. Push through the bad times to experience amazing times like these. I’m happy, and man, it’s good. Just seeing a friend sign on to msn puts a smile on my face. And on a great finishing note, how legend is the lion king? Hakuna matata.
