| THE ITEM WARS COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION TO OUR CAUSE The Item Wars Committee is a newly-formed organization determined to re-establish the once bustling economy of Crittannia that has now dwindled to a fraction of its size. We wish to accomplish this by slowly causing items to become rarer using a process known as an 'item war'. General Wesc of the Committee defines an item war as the following - 'An item war can be fought for a number of reasons, but the goal is always to make one item or collection of items much less common. This is typically done by purchasing all that appear in the official shops and preventing them any from being sold in user shops for less than a particular price, or at all, via purchasing underpriced items or by pelting the shopkeeper of offending shops.' Through successful item wars, many users often become fairly rich. The short-term goal of this Committee is to begin item wars in order to increase the rarity of numerous items. Our long-term goals are to encourage users to help revive the failing economy of eCritters, and to overall help users benefit from purchasing items in the shops. CURRENT ITEM WARS ESTABLISHED OR SUPPORTED BY THE COMMITTEE Two items wars have are currently going on - the Lilax and the Nyrial Night Globe. There is a topic in the Item Wars forum which contains details on this. To join, either post on that topic or eeMail this account. Update - As of July the Second, another item war has been added to our list. We are now fighting over the Bubble Fruit, an item which was once rare, and with our efforts, shall again become. Therefore, we hope that our current members will join this, and that other members of the Crittannian society will join the Committee's efforts. MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE The Committee runs on a membership system that is based on three classes. These are Staff, Full-time Member, and Part-time Member. Staff are the members who have created and/or work diligently on the Committee and its item wars. Staff have access to this account. Full-time Members are members who have committed to participation in most or all item wars. Part-time Members are members who are participating in under half of the item wars. To join as a Full- or Part-time member, please eeMail this account, and we will add you to the list. To become a Staff Member, you must prove that you are a dedicated member by working hard on the item wars, and then we will consider you for a Staff position. If you have joined, your name will be added to one of the lists below, next to which will be listed the item wars you have participated in.
